PC PROTECTION

It's not just humans that are starting to suffer in the hot weather. Soaring temperatures are already creating an epidemic of frazzled hard drives, and more PCs are likely to fall victim to lightning strikes and flooding in the storms expected later this week.

With the onset of the hot weather, data-recovery company Ontrack said it is on its way to its busiest summer ever. According to the company's business development manager, Phil Bridge: "We do get a definite peak in jobs over the summer every year."

Heat and humidity are a big factor in the rise in demand for data recovery but Bridge said that the increase in mobile working in the summer is another factor, as workers take their laptops out to enjoy the sunshine. "We see laptops that are filled with sand and seawater," he said.
On top of this, IT managers — like everyone else — are on their holidays, and that means data is less likely to be backed up as conscientiously as it is when they are in the office.

When staff get back to the office, the danger for PCs isn't over. Bridge warns that rebooting a machine after it has had a long rest could be just enough to send the hard drive over the edge. And the storms that follow hot weather hold dangers for hardware too — power surges, floods and lightning strikes can all send PCs to the big server room in the sky.
Ontrack has come up with 10 top tips to keep your systems running happily through the heat.

1. Keep computers in a cool, dry area to prevent overheating

2. Don't have too many computers running off one power supply, via an extension cable. If the power socket is affected by a power surge, then all the machines could suffer damage

3. Install a surge protector between the power socket and the computer's power cable. Some brands offer guaranteed lightning protection

4. Small businesses with networks should get surge protectors to stop power spikes normally transmitted through network cables

5. At least once per year users should inspect power protection devices to make sure they are functioning properly

6. Ensure IT equipment has its own power circuit, so it isn't sharing the power with air conditioners, fans and/or other ancillary devices.

7. Turn off and disconnect the power cord during an electrical storm

8. Turn off power during a blackout. When power is restored after a blackout, the signal can initially be inconsistent, which can cause damage

9. High voltages can enter the computer through a phone line connected to the modem.

10. To protect your computer during electrical storms, unplug the telephone line from the modem jack or use a telephone line surge suppressor

11. Businesses with network servers should invest in some form of uninterruptible power supply

How to Reduce excessive FAT

If you are a person who needs help to reduce body fat then this article is a must read for you.You will discover some very effective tips to get rid of your body fat.Unless diets (95% don’t work) and fat loss pills where the results are only temporary you will find tips to reduce your body fat with a permanent result.Read a few advertisements of fat loss pills and they claim to be magical but they don’t work.I can tell you that my body fat reducing tips are not hocus pocus but they do work.

Body fat reducing tips.

1 # Weight lifting.

One of the fastest ways to reduce body fat is weight training. The problem with diets is that you lose fat but also muscles.Did you know the more muscles you have the more fat you will burn?I’m almost sure that you won’t become a bodybuilder however if you train with weights you increase your lean body mass.If you increase your lean body mass you increase your metabolic rate and you burn more calories.Weight training is important for your fat reducing programme but lifting weights alone is not enough.

2 # Avoid bad fats.

There are good fats and there are bad fat.Bad fats are transy fats and unsaturated fats you should avoid them. They increase your level of LDL (bad) cholesterol. You can find bad fats in animal products and in some plant foods.

3 # Drink water.

Water is the most important nutrient in your body.Water does not contain any calories and it is absolutely required to lose fat and to survive. However if you are dehydrated your body has the reaction to hold onto whatever water it needs to keep you alive. At this time the liver can’t do his most important job burning stored body fat into energy.A good habit is to drink at least eight glasses of fresh water each day.

4 # Increase your meals.

It sounds strange but if you want to reduce body fat you need to increase your numbers of daily meals.Eating five or six small frequent meals is by far the best way to speed your metabolic rate.Combine frequent eating with the right food choices and your body will turn into a fat burning machine.

5 # Don’t relay on diets.

About 95% of the diets don’t work, people gain all their way back and in some cases they get even fatter.According to the diet industry we have to believe that all fat is bad, you know better. Some diet programmes advice you to skip meals.Your metabolic system is a result thousands of years of evolution. It is impossible to cheat your smart body with an ordinary diet.If you want to reduce fat successful you have to work with your metabolism and not against it.

I hope you have found some help now to reduce body fat. However fat loss is a very deep subject you will have to do more research.and be sure to double check your sources.

Car driving Schools in Delhi

Hello friends...As the passing days, i plan to purchase a Motor bike to commute to my office but then something strikes my mind ie: can i drive in delhi, every day i found some new accidents of bikers roading their ways.

I usually commute in autorikshaws and there fore i look for auto standing in the footpath but the bikers had not left this place also uncovered. they drive in the footpath as if they were supposed to drive. Yesterday only there was a protest in Katwaria sarai for water problem, therefore i thought not to go by auto and i decided to walk by myself from office , i choose the pavement or the footpath but i was shocked to see that even the cars are onto the pavement finding their way to land. I was in the midist of the island where there are lot of veichels from both sides and i was unable to find my way out of it.

I caught one of the biker and screwed him for not allowing walkers. But it was not his fault, he may be one among the thousands.

Then i went to search for auto, nobody was willing to take me to my home as there was protest going on and they have been one of the victims in the hands of the local people. It was a chhallenge for me to reach home then i thought if i had a car then it may not be any ones fault.

From that day i am in search of a car and a driving school, there are lots of driving scools in Delhi. i am searching from the google search engine and it had helped me a lot but still i am finding the best out of it. If any one can find me a driving school, plz they are invited to post the comment.

"SOCIAL CULTURE" Drives us in workplace

Hello friends, i am back. So to begin with the journey i will request you all to close your eyes for 5 minutes and then read the article. It will give you peace and then you will be able to read the article in pure mind forgetting all the pains of the day. I will not beasking you to follow but i think someone may have done it, which servs my purpose. Generally if i have told you to go through the text, u may or may not have gone through, but as i have associated your mind to a spiritual peace you try to follow it.

Mostly in the countries like india many people still have culture, spiritualism, social attachment, religious ethics and some taboo in their blood which has been refreshed.

In india the ritual ceremonies begins after rainfall ie: august till february, we celebrate a lot, eat lots of sweets, visiting temples, praying God and Godesses. It seems so colorfull and delighting.

And this culture effect is also seen in "WORKPLACE" also. Belive it or not if 80% people are engaged in Job or school or any other work, they try not to come to office or school in the Puja holidays. We indians are so attached to our communal feelings that our attitude has also been changed. As compared to any other countries India has always been a symbol of culture.

In every big organisation you can see the effect of culture. I remembered the days when i was working in IBM Gurgaon as a Technical support executive. In our caffeteria we used to see candles, chocklates, gift hampers, "laddoos", sweets and many more, we have decorated our "FlOOR" where we used to take calls. We used to have competion between process in IBM, we used to have process like Citibank, Bell canada, Delta airlines, Vanguard, and many more, every individual is busy in preparing plans how to make their workplace superiour than other process.
At that time when we used to take calls from CANADA the candians and the indians there used to wish us for the diwali and dushera festive. we fell proud to be a part of IBM. So employees are alo motivated, when IBM used to have cultural functions and parties. There used to be a fire in the workplace, we have celebrated "Lohri", "diwali", "christmas", "Holi" within the work place.

So now every big and small companies are also planning to do such activities to keep the employees refresh and motivated and relaxed. So in my approach we should incorporate the religious activities keeping in mind the fellings and emotions attached with every festival. Cultural festivals and parties should be organised so as to kee the joy and enthusiasim among the worker working in the organisations and companes.

I will come back with some more topics, till then bye bye

"Kolkata" The land full of culture and enthusiasim

Yeah i do remember the day when i reached calcutta in 2000. Seven years are passed now, trully seven years still the smell of calcutta remains."Macher jhol", "Rasagolla" i never miss them any way. Last year i visited Kolkata in 2006, same old Howrah Station with lots of coolies chanting with their own words to pull up the load. Same mist i found in the air with polution still captured in the city.

I never miss the kolkata food, i took lots of varieties in fish and sea food, i also like to be in the cue of person selling eggroll in Kolkata market. They really make it delicious to eat. More than that they are the KING in Sweets all over the country. I took "Sandesh" a sweet prepared from Khoya with "Nalen Gur", we call "gur" in southern states. Its little diffrent same to the "Khejur gur", a dry fruit called Khajur. yummy they sweet so delicious that i cant express in words, for that u have to have all the sweets in front of you.

Kolkata garments are also wonderfull,i remember it was an excellent saree we brought it for our mom.

More to be written next day

Taboo "Delhi best place for shopping"

Hi every one, this is a fact rather which we sud all try 2 accept, may be not today but tommorow. In evry places right from Sarojni nagar to Ansals to Big Bazar u will find the essence of irresponsibility. I have been to "Big Bazar", i found many thing there, i find effective measures are implemented thr but the people working in the room are not showing interest or will power to describe about a product or the cashiher who is not at all responsible for people standing in cue for a long time for their bills....This is how every big showroom, plaza looks there in delhi.

I am very dissapointed by the place called Chandni chouk and Palika Bazar, there is no such place where u will find some one without his interest will come forward to help you. Fully commercialised place. Inside palika bazar u will find shopkeepers asking you to buy ever the pornographic CDS which you are not looking at that point of time, u will find shop owner will fear you if you r comming to his shop finding some goods but returning back without taking any of them, they show red eyes. Small children on the streets selling cheap products also show their anger if you touch the goods and dont buy. In a incident happened to me in Palika Bazar, one shopkeeper selling Jeans took hold of my arms and try to take me to his shop for selling without my permission, when i was passing by his shop. I yelled at him but it doesnt affect him.

Eating any food in Delhi in open is harm as well as you loose ur money. Open food is served by the person in a hurry and he doesnt take initiative to make it a proper, tasty and hygenic substance. They will serve you as if they are doing some social work or feeding to their own dogs and cats.

So i will request any person or group reding the above article sud open their eyes and sud prevent these things happening in delhi. Any social organisation, govt sud take some action against them and these buisness running only with money not with will and social responsibility shoud be closed. Govt shoul not escape by saying that this is how poor people are earning their living, but they should come up with different promotional plans for these people to start with a work which shuld be acceptable to the society.
